- Some vessels have predictable seasonal conditions that effect propeller loading due to routes, cargo or typical weater patterns. A monoblock propeller must compromise and never get max efficiency.
- A - OPTIMUM PROPELLER LOAD
- B - LIGHT PROPELLER LOAD
- C - HEAVY PROPELLER LOAD (OVERLOAD)
- Curve "A" show a monoblock propeller operating efficiently.
- If you experience more resistance or a heavier load, the curve shifts to "C".
- And when less resistance or a lighter load is experienced, the curve shifts to "B".
- A monoblock propeller design is compromised since it can not be optimized for each season.
