Structural Advantages

  • Stress Distribution: Since the blades are fully CNC machined, the root sections’ fillets are precisely made according to design specifications, rather than being hand-finished like monoblock propellers. This ensures proper stress distribution as per the engineer’s analysis.
  • Vibration Reduction: The precise CNC milling of the entire blade provides the most accurate geometric and mass tolerances which are critical for reducing hydrodynamic and mechanical vibrations, thus ensuring smoother operation and a longer lifespan for the propulsion system components.
  • The SPS is unbeatable in the lead time production.
  • The hubs are made in various standard sizes and are available at all time.
  • Their corresponding blades are produced in our factory in short time.
  • The gather design also means that an SPS propeller or its components can be air-freighted in a reduced-size crate, whereas a whole monoblock propeller would incur significantly higher transportation costs.
  • The gathered design means as well that a replacement of a conventional propeller requires weeks of work in a dry dock, while a SPS propeller or individual blades can be replaced in hours by a scuba diver in port.
